About
What Commissioned is
Commissioned is a reference guide to bespoke and heirloom jewellery in the UK. Every page answers one real question — how commissioning works, what it genuinely costs, what can and can't be done with an inherited piece — and starts with the short, honest answer before the detail.
Who publishes it
Commissioned is published by Lark & Berry, a London fine jewellery house. We say this plainly because you should know who's writing what you read.
Our editorial rules
- We never rank or review jewellers — including Lark & Berry. We compare methods, materials, and routes; never brands.
- We publish the "can't" as well as the "can". If a redesign is a bad idea, or a piece is worth more untouched, we say so.
- Prices are real bands, not teasers. Drawn from actual UK trade practice and reviewed quarterly.
- Where a page links to Lark & Berry's own services, it's labelled. Everything else is written to be useful whoever you commission with.
